The genealogies of Christopher Aslett and Kimberley Powley are joined through their children, Noah and Emma. Chris's father's family emigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1912 from Guernsey, Channel Islands. Family names include Aslett, LePoidevin, Playle and Goubert. Chris's mother's family moved from Rochester, New York to Toronto around 1920. The Cole family is associated with Rochester, but migrated through Detroit, Ohio, and New York. The Mutschler family came to Rochester in the 1860's from Baden, Germany. The Ashton, Champlain and Hodgkins families were settlers in the Syracuse, New York region in the early 1800's.
The Powleys came from England, possibly Penrith, to York County, Ontario around 1840. Some Powleys migrated to Wellington County, Ontario and later to Goulais Bay and Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Other family names include Brooks and Wiles. Kim's father's mother was an Ojibway Indian adopted by the McDonalds of Goulais Bay, Ontario. Kim's mother's family settled along the North Shore of Lake Huron. George Speers came from Chelsea, England in 1914. The Rowlinson family emigrated from Manchester, England around 1880, and the Munn family came from Glasgow, Scotland around the same time. Other names in this line are McTaggart and Crear.
