| Welcome to the Smith / Astbury Family Tree. It is an interesting journey, especially as we are having great trouble finding any information about the German side of the family. If anyone reading this can assist, it would be greatly appreciated. Hermann Heinrich Emil Muller was born about 1855 in Berlin, Schleswig Holstein, Germany. His occupation was engraver. His father was Edward Muller, a Blacksmith. All German family history seems to have been erased due to World War I, when the family changed its surname to Miller. I believe Hermann fled to Germany to escape interment during the war. Any family connections reading this are invited to contact me by email to share information and photos. More photos are to come - stay tuned. |
