I am looking for ancestry for my gr-gr grandmother Nancy A. PORTER who was born about 1817 in NY. She married Horace Lorenzo PRATT 11 February 1835 in Chautauqua Co., New York. They moved to MI where their first 3 children were born in Livingston Co. and they are listed on 1840 Census. In 1840-42 they moved to Shiawassee Co. where they are listed on 1850 census with 6 children. On 1870 census Nancy is listed as head of household with 3 children at home. Horace died in Newaygo Co., MI 20July1889. No record of Nancy after 1870 and cannot find her death record. Horace and Nancy's children were Sarah Emily, John, Harriet(died in infancy), Mary J., Harriet Phoebe, John Nelson, Cordelia, Nancy Myrtle, Martha Emily, William P., and Samuel Lorenzo. Any info on her would be fantastic!! Will share what I have.

I have traced my PRATT & PEASE family lines back to the 1600's in England and my husband's AtLEE family back to the 1700's in England. Other countries our family is from are SCOTLAND, IRELAND, AND GERMANY. Some of family (McLEOD & HALL) came through CANADA to the USA.

My family surnames I am trying to research are ANTHONY, BEEBE, DEBAR, GROH, HALBERT, HALL, LEE, McLEOD,PORTER & WEIGLE/WEIGEL. All settled in MICHIGAN. Now have DEBAR surname traced back to Jacob James DEBAR, born 22 April 1781 in N.Y.

My husband's are BOARDMAN (have now made Boardman connection back to 1600's in Conn. & Mass.), BULLIS, CONKEY, DAILEY, GRANNIS, KLOCK, McGRAW/McGRATH, McGINNIS, MEYER, SECOR, & WANGEMAN. Settled in MICHIGAN, ILLINOIS, IOWA and S.DAKOTA.
