I am researching the ancestors and decendants of John Atwell (1718 - 1785)& Ruth (Holten) Atwell, who were New England Planters from New London, Conn. and settled on Acadian land in Horton Township, Kings Co., Nova Scotia in 1760. Later moved to the Gaspereau Mountain, Nova Scotia area. Their children were: Ruth; Esther; Holtum; John Bishop; Nancy; and Richard. John was a decendant of Constable Benjamin Atwell of New London, New London Co., Conn.

I am also researching the ancestors and decendants of John Henry or Henrich Hardwick (d- cir 1811) & Katharine (Hartman) Hardwick who came from Braintree, Norfolk Co., Mass to Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia around 1760. Their children were: Henry; Frederic; John; Lucretia Elizabeth; and Mary. I think John & Katherine moved back to Braintree, Mass., but their children stayed in the Annapolis Royal area.

Would love to exchange info with any one else interested in either of these two families.
