I am researching the ancestors and decendants of John Atwell (1718 - 1785)& Ruth (Holten) Atwell, who were New England Planters from New London, Conn. and settled on Acadian land in Horton Township, Kings Co., Nova Scotia in 1760. Later moved to the Gaspereau Mountain, Nova Scotia area. Their children were: Ruth; Esther; Holtum; John Bishop; Nancy; and Richard. John was a decendant of Constable Benjamin Atwell of New London, New London Co., Conn. |
