Notes for John Hoye Atwell:
We visited "Granse and Deane" (John Hoye Atwell and Deane D. Gardner) quite a few times when I was little.

I never knew Vic.

After Deane died, Granse moved into an apartment in a nice building in Los Angeles -- near Echo Park, I believe. Later, when Granse went blind, he moved in with his son, Curtis Marshall Atwell, who was married to Bernice Collison. When Curtis Marshall Atwell died, Bernice looked after him. Somewhere around this time, his sight was partially restored by surgery. He died July 28, 1980 at age 98.
