1860 Census for Syracuse Ward 7, Onondaga County, New York, declares John and Catharine Hoye were both born in Ireland and Anna was born in New York state. Was she born in Syracuse? Likely, but no documentation has been found that answers that question definitively. 1870 Census says Anna was a School Teacher (at 23 years of age).
