John Aukerman was born 14 Nov 1806 in (PA?) and died 29 March 1868. He is buried in the South Pleasant Cemetery, Wabash Co., Indiana. He married on 29 May 1828, Mary Elizabeth PICKARD, born 7 June 1804 and died 15 June 1889.
John and Mary were married in Cumberland County,Pennslyvania in 1828 but then moved to Ohio by 1835. They might have lived around Wayne Co., or Akron, but moved to Indiana later on. In Indiana, the family has been found in Kosciusko, Fulton, Wabash, and Marshall counties between 1860 - 1900. William Aukerman, my gg grandfather, moved to Nebraska, and his descendants can now be found in Washington, Oregon, California, Nebraska, and Missouri.
