| I'm researching family information originating from John and Linda Ellingson. I have come across lots of information some I have been able to prove others I'm working on. On the Beers side I've gotten as far as Martin (Bere) Beers from Rochester, Kent England 1472. There is lots of history with the Beers family and name. James Beers (Bere) was one of the first Beer's to come to America. We have ancestor's who faught in the Revolutionary war!! On the Grandmother's side of the family, we get into the Perry family, Osborn's, Burr, Rumsey and the Ward family which takes us back to Constance De Vescy born about 1200, Knareborough Castle, Yorkshire, England. Through this line we extend into B.C. In going that far back it is hard to prove but it's interesting. As stated above, through the Grandmother's side of the family, we are related to lots of interesting people. Too many to count and put here on this page. Just to name a few, we are related to Aaron Burr, Vice President under Abraham Lincoln, who by the way killed Alexander Hamilton. Joseph Talcott, Gov. of Conn. Although we are not blood related to Lyman Hall who signed the Declaration of Independence, we are related to both of his wives. Anna Olson's side I don't have much information. However, I have more than I had before. Anna Olson was born March 9, 1894 in Dokka, Oppland, Norway to an Oley Olson and Lisa Sunderby Olsdatter. Her grandparents on her mother's side are Ole Jensen and Anne Olsdr, they had 3 children. Anna's mother Lisa, 1st husband Nils Kvernsveen, they had a son Olaf Kvernsveen. Anna married Charles Beers and lived in Lake Mills, Iowa, they had 9 children. I was able to locate the New York Passenger list stating Anna came over December 23, 1911 on the Campania which departed from Liverpool. I'm in the process of obtaining information on Raymond LaCore and his family. I have gotten several leads on information but seem to hit a brick wall with Lemuel Lackore and his wife Sophronia Lampher. Now, my information shows Lemuel born 1820 New York but the only Lemuel Lackore in New York born around that time died as an infant. If I am able to connect this Lemuel Lackore to the Lackore family in New York. It is quite possible several descendants live in and around Forest City, IA, small world. On the Lawrence Ellingson side I have as far back as the mid 1800's. Thank you Violet Esther (Olson) Ellingson, I have more information, some dating back to Mikkel Mante b.1692 Thanks again Violet I have allot of fill in the blanks so any information would be extremely helpful. I know that others may already have this information. If so could you please send it to me. I would like to keep my own records. Thank you, Michelle |
