| I am currently researching the Aumann side of the family. Adam(1862-1921) and Kunigunda(1852-1926) Aumann came to the U.S. from Germany. We are not certain when, but guess about 1865-1889.Adam was the son of George Aumann and Margaret Gullier, we don't know if there were any siblings,aunt, uncles.... Kunigunda was the daughter of Fredrick Hoffman and Dorothea Gretz, we don't know anything about this family either. Adam and Kunigunda had five children: Frank Adam(b.1885), Joseph A.(b.1887), Edward(b.1889,my grandfather),Elizabeth(b.1896), and Margaret Elisa(b.1891). The is also a "family" rumor of another son who "ran away". I am also interested in the family of Adam Swope(1851-1932) Adam Married twice. His first wife was Elmira Miller(1859-1888)They had four children:HarryA.,Morris J.,Mary Ann,and Christian. Adam's second wife was Lorenda Ann Thornton(1874-1958). They had four children. Hannah Jane(b.1894), Lillie Albertha(b.1900,my grandmother), Thelma V.(1908?)and Alvin Thoedore(b.1908??). Any information would be greatly recieved and/or shared. |
