Temperance was born on Clark Creek in Montgomery County, the daughter of Alfred Williams and granddaughter of Isham Williams. 6. MARRIAGE: From the 1850 census it appears that Charlotte and Pleasant were recently married and that she was a widow with two children: Emilene Laciter 12 and John Newman 10. In 1860, John is called John Lassiter. This event is only conjecture from the census. It appears also that the William Austin 2 yr., is most likely a grandson of Pleasant, s/o William who lives next door.
