Mary Aveling (daughter of Thomas Aveling and Alice Hemmant) was born 25 August 1678 in St Andrew,s, Whittlesey, Cambridge, and died 27 October 1678 in Whittlesey, Cambridge, England.

Died young.
The Landed Gentry gives her birth as the 25 Aug 1678.and her sister Marys
death as the 29 Oct 1678. This would mean two sisters named Mary living at
the same time.The Landed Gentry is obviously wrong.
The 1st Mary must have died as an infant.
The 2nd Mary also,because there was a Mary Bpt.22 Oct.1679 at St Andrews,
(Confirmed by Michael Farrar,County Archivist,County Records Office,Cambridge.)
There is a transcribed index of Bpt.made many years ago which wrongly gives
her fathers name as John Aveling.
