If you are an Awbrey/Aubrey, it may surprise you to know that this relatively unusual name is a very old name that goes back to at least 900AD in France. Our ancestors were early settlers and land owners in the British colonies on the East Coast and Virginia in the 1600's. Years of research has been done by several descendents of the Virginia line of Awbreys. Their work also includes earlier history in England, Wales, and Europe. The purpose of this home page is to continue the years of labor by anyone who has done research on the Awbrey/Aubrey family. Another purpose is to use this home page as a kind of clearing house and/or communications center to help point people to other Awbrey/Aubrey home pages more directly related to their specific family line.
