The Sheppard family has been traced back to the Rev James Sheppard born 1777, reportedly in Somerset, but not proven. He became a minister with the Countess of Huntington Connexion and his life and family is well documented from the time he entered the ministry in 1800.
The Jones family has been traced back to Robert Jones born 1795, son of Edward & Elizabeth, Llantysilio, Cymmo near Llangollen.
Another strand is the Egerton family. Ellen baptised at Allostock Presbyterian Church (Cheshire) in 1805 married John Sheppard at St Botolph's in Bishopsgate 1831
