NOTE: This page is now CLOSED. That is not to say that it will be taken down, but it will not be updated after 2001. I have a new website, and there is a link to it near the bottom of this page. There is still some information and articles that you can find on this page that I won’t be putting on my new page, but this information will become more and more out of date over time. In case you have trouble finding the link, you can find it at this website: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/b/a/a/Kevin-Baase-IL/index.html

Welcome to the world!! MARISSA CECELIA HOCH, born June 28, 2000. Marissa is the newest addition to our family.
The data I have presented here is based mostly on the work of others; it has been my job to merely organize and gather it. If there's something you need to know that I don't know, or don't have here, I can conduct you to a more appropriate source. For the Hamlin side, two distant relatives of mine are Kelly Vance and Mary Donahue, who both have sites here on FTM. Their sites are *linked* at the bottom of the page, along with a few others, and there is quite a bit of information to be found at the Monroe County Genweb site. Most of my data for the Hamlin side of the family came from these sources (as well as the SSDI at Ancestry.com). The four Genealogy Reports *linked* below reflect the most important lines in my Hamlin side of the family, in my opinion.
Previously, the web had not been kind to me as far as the Chicago side of the family goes. Within the last year however, I have made a few contacts for my mom's side of the family, one of whom is Steve Wilhelmi for the Raap line (see *link* below). Most of my information from my hometown has come from my grandmother Loraine Raap (and other relatives, through her), the Chicago Public Library (the Harold Washington library downtown, which has census records and old newspapers on microfilm), the SSDI, and various local graveyards.
Check out my Book (*link* below) to see what I've got so far on my Chicago relatives. If you found this site through the index linked to this page (look at the bottom for the link, "Chicago Families Index"), you need to click on the link for the Book to find out further information. Make sure to have a look at "Genealogy's Virtual Cemetery" from the *link* at the bottom of the page, searching for the various cemeteries listed on this homepage.
That's about it for now. I'd like to thank both George Bauerschmidt and Cynthia Rockow for their early assistance; I doubt I would have gotten as far as I have this fast without your help! Special thanks to Kelly (O'Dell) Vance and Mary Donahue, you've been a great help on the Schepler/Baase line! Also thanks to Peggy Rath-Randall and Mary Wolf-DePew for your help with extending the Rath line! Also thank you to Mary Huffaker-Wagner and Marcia Thede for help with the Block and Bobzin family.
