DEATH OF MR. JAMES PEVERELL
The death of Mr James Peverell on Sunday last at his residence, Melville rd., West Brunswick, removes a very esteemed resident from this world's affairs. Mr Peverell joined the Brunswick Council about 35 years ago as one of its inspectors and on a rearrangement of the officers became one of the three rate collectors and valuers, the other two being the late Mr Thomas Clarke, (who was an ex-councillor) and Cr. F. T. Hickford. Mr Peverell owing to ill health, retired form the service of the Council in 1908, after a long period of useful work to the municipality. Mr Peverell was held in high regard and esteem by his colleagues and the ratepayers generally for his kindliness and thorough attention to his duties regardless of persons. One his sons, Mr J. B. Peverell, died last year, amidst universal regret.

PEVERELL. On the 7th February at 73 Melville-road, West Brunswick, after a long and painful illness, James, dearly beloved husband of Creseat Peverell, loving father of Carter, George, Harrie, Frank, Charlie, Percy, Jessie, the late Joseph. Mrs Tucker, Brunswick, Mrs Hanson, Werribee, Mrs Statford, Beeac, aged 76 years and 7 months. A colonist 61 years. At rest.

THE LATE JAMES PEVERILL
Cr Allard at the last Brunswick Council meeting referred to the death of Mr James Peverill, which took place on the 7th inst., at his residence, 73 Melville rd., West Brunswick. The deceased was 76 years of age and was an old and highly esteemed officer (rate collector for the Brunswick Council). He moved that a letter of condolence be sent to the relatives. Cr Hickford said deceased was an old colleague and he could bear testimony to his industry and attention to duty. He was sorry to hear about his death. The motion was carried unanimously. The funeral of the deceased gentleman was well attended. John Allison, of 291 Sydney road, Brunswick, funeral director had charge of the mortuary arrangements and gave complete satisfaction.

MRS PEVERELL and FAMILY desire to express their sincere THANKS to all friends for their kind expressions of sympathy, letters, cards, telegrams and floral tributes during their recent sad bereavement, also express thanks to Dr. (Pestill)? for his nuturing attention, and the Brunswick council for their kind letter of condolence. 73 Melville road, West Brunswick.
