Also looking for information about the Bacon side of the tree.
Information leads me to Sunderland, VT and ends with Benjamin Bacon who was born in in 1762/63 Lennox or Richmond Ma - died 7-17-1831 in Sunderland, VT (Ben married Lois Evarts, daughter of Abner Evarts and Susannah Scoville). Leduc, Duke, Walker, Bacon are also families who settled in Vermont. Leduc and Duke came via Canada or New France to Vermont.
So the next search is for more about his father.. HELP needed here!
If you have any information or can look up information about this matter please email me.

Family Photos

  • Zachariah Walker's Site (7 KB)
Many of the stones next to the monument are un-readable but more then a few seem to say Zachariah Walker or ZW, some may be his wife and his son?
  • Young Agnes Dorothy Walker (90 KB)
Agnes is seen here at Will and Ruth Walker's place before the porch and woodshed/workshed add on. Circa: Mid 1920's She may be being held by L. Ruth "Duke" Walker - her mother.
  • Zachariah Walker's Monument (9 KB)
One of many sections to the grave site, located in Woodbury, CT
  • The way the grandkids of Will and Ruth remember it (66 KB)
Most of the Grandchildren of Will and Ruth use to visit the farm each summer if not more often. This is the view of the house the way it use to be viewed from the right side of the fork in the driveway by the main road.
  • Zachariah Walker's Home (20 KB)
Zachariah Walker's Home built 1691 in Woodbury CT, across from the Cemetery
  • Kids visit the farm (126 KB)
This is a typical picture of some grandchildren visiting the farm. Grandmother Walker always had something for us kids to eat, donuts! pies! This picture was taken in the early 50's, the famous freezer which held deer and cow meat, frozen berries (which we all helped to go pick and eat up by the beaver ponds).
  • Zachariah Walker's Grave site (7 KB)
Zachariah Walker's grave site is the largest monument at the cemetery.
  • Will - Ruth and W. Chester - Mary Abbott's Plot (52 KB)
The site is located in Cabot Village, the plot with the pink granite is Will and Ruth Walker's (my Grandfather and Grandmother) with Will's father and mother's site to the right. The small marker to the right of that is Edward Edson. He was Bird and Agnes (Walker) Edson's first born and Janet (Edson) LaPan's brother. I believe he was still born or died shortly after birth.
  • Robert Franklin Bacon (188 KB)
Robert F. Bacon's site to the right of his parents, and is my father. Robert died in 1967 one year after my graduating high school, I never got to meet the man.
  • Agnes D. Walker 1936 - College years (105 KB)
Agnes is the one to the far right, said to be taken in 1936 (I don't know any of the others in the picture)
  • Antwine Sharkey and Martha Partlow headstones (95 KB)
The Bacon side of the family, me, these should be my 2nd G-Grandfather and Grandmother on my fathers side. Just to the right of them is Giles and Ida then Robert Bacon.
  • William Chester Walker Jr (or the 2nd) at college (182 KB)
Will Walker is seated center in the front row.
  • Benjamin Bacon and Lois Evarts (943 KB)
Location of the family site is in the Ira Allen Cemetery, Sunderland Vermont. This is the last link in my side of the Bacon Family that is reliable.
  • View of the Walker plot in Cabot (134 KB)
This was taken from the middle road to the burial grounds at the Cabot Village Cemetary. Taken in the summer of 2000 before Agnes was laid to rest.

Joseph Bacon and Dinah Matteson site is in the Lawrence Cemetery, Sunderland Vermont. Looking for more information on his father.
  • Giles Bacon and Ida Sharkey (181 KB)
By all accounts these should be my Grandparents - their son rests to the right of them - Robert Franklin Bacon
