Am gradually tracing my lines back from my four grandparents and their families. They were Scots who came down the Great Lakes from Quebec or over the Cumberland Gap into KY. One family started in Cape Cod; went to southern New Jersey and thence to Philadelphia and Kentucky. Am trying to fill in this story as I proceed. The main family names are Gregory (Quebec and Michigan); Adams (CT and northern VT); Bacon (Cape Cod, Raritan River, Cohansey River in s. N.J., Philadelphia and Kentucky; Anderson (KY and pre-Rev. VA. |
