23. "Obit," Catherine V. Diehl, 79 of Mountain Lake, Box 217, DUncansville RD 5, died at 11:20 A.M., Friday, July 28, 1980, in Cleveland Clinic. Mrs. Diehl retired as a waitress from the Rustic Isle, Mountain Lake in 1978. She was born Aug. 15, 1900, in Huntingdon RD, the daughter of Andrew and Ida (Crownover) Bowser, and married Austin B. Diehl, who died in 1954. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jean L. BonSIgnor of Aurora, Ohio; three stepchildren, Mrs. Josephine Wilt of McKee, Mrs. Lorraine Forrester of Rahns and Edmond Diehl of Baltimore, MD; eight grandchildren and a brother and sister, Mrs. Almeda Hooper of Huntingdon and Luther of Mill Creek. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday in the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville.

41. "Obit," Austin B. Diehl - Of Mountain Lake, Duncansvill R.D. 2, died Sunday at 1:05 A.M. at Nason hospital, Roaring Spring, after a bried illness. He was born Aug. 11, 1898 at Blue Know, the son of Clavin and Emma Jane (Berkheimer) Diehl. Mr. Diehl leaves his wife, Cathryn; one son, Edmond of Baltimore; and two daughters, Mrs. Allen Forrester of Harrisburg and Josephine at home; one adopted daughter, Mrs. Byron Coy of Duncansville R.D.; one granddaughter, Karen Diehl of Baltimore; two grandsons, Brone and Stephen Coy of Duncansville R.D.; four brothers, Allen of Johnstown, William of Pittsburgh, Harry and Emor of Claysburg. One son, Luther, was killed while serving with the U.S. Marines on Iwo Jima, Mar. 3, 1945. He was a member of the Mount Hope Reformed church, the Hollidaysburg Lions club and the Steamfitters Local Union 260, and was a Justice of the Peace in Juniata township. He was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed chruch, Johnstown. Surviving are his wife, one son and one daughter, Leo C. and Mrs. Neva D. Bell of Johnstown; three brothers Emor and Harry of Claysburg and William of Pittsburgh, and four grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Henderson funeral home, Johnstown. - Johnstwon "Mirror" dtd. March 15, 1957.
