Notes for Jacob Schwander:
Jacob & Barbara were married at the Reformed Parsonage, in the Egypt congregation by a Reformed Minister.
Jacob was a Private Eighth Class, Capt. Henry Ritz's Sixth Company, Second Battalion, Northhampton County Pennsylvania Militia, in the Revolutionary War. He served under Washington. He was encamped at White Marsh in 1877, near his home. He was given furlough to see his first born son John. Muster Roll dated May 14, 1778.

Barabra had come over from Switzerland and was living in the family of one Shriver in Lehigh Valley.
