Notes for Catherine Hayden: Their house on Dalkey Ave. ( numbered 29,22 or 8 depending on the year you look ) had a water trough outside for passers bye to water their horses. Catherine ran a tea rooms in the front of the house selling tea to travellers as they rested. We do not know if she started this or if the business was already there. The house was a workman's home for a workers in Dalkey Quarry excavating rock for the building of Dun Laoghaire Harbour in 18??.
The Hayden family homes may be Radan House or Maryville Ard Brugha Road ( Or Dalkey Hill )
Catherine's age of death of 64 on her Grave Details on the 23 Sept 1938 gives a birth date of 1874 however on the census of 31 march 1901 she was 38 giving a birth date of 1863.
