I am researching the Ballard family. I am related to the branch of the family that lived in and around the Mitcham area for the past three generations at least. My cousin John has traced our roots back to FULCO BALLARD circa 1290ad, although I have yet to verify this. There is some evidence to link my family with the Ballard families living around Patcham, W Sussex. During the 17th & 18th centuries, it would seem that we were a family of Millers, registered as living in The Mill House, Patcham. Apparently we have relatives in the area of NEW YORK, USA. As I have only recently started to investigate my geanealogy I have confirmed very few of John's findings. I hope to do better in the months and years to come. Adrian Arthur Ballard, b.27-10-1955.
