Hello, and thank you for visiting our family's home page. The Ballon family has resided mostly in the Southern California region since 1917. The most recent generations were born and raised in Southern California or Northern Mexico. There are two major branches to our family: The Ballon's of Escondido, CA and The Ballon's of South San Diego County, CA. My branch of the Ballon family grew out of the marriage between Aurora Terriquez and John AKA "Alfredo" Ballon, son of Silvestre Ballon and Antonia Perez who were both born in Michoacan, Mexico. I am presently researching Felipe Ballon, my great grandfather born in Puruandiro, Michoacan, Mexico in 1869. I will be visiting the Mormon Temple's Historical Research Center in Salt Lake City, Utah during the month of October 1997 to further my efforts. We would appreciate any information useful to us while attempting to formulate our family tree. |
