Gilbert Jefferson Maner (son of William Maner and Sarah "Sallie" Lowery) was born November 11, 1845 in McMinn Co., TN, and died March 03, 1905 in Pryor, OK. He married (1) Mary Ann Davis on Abt. 1871. He married (2) Ardenia Jane Miller on Abt. 1875 in MO (?), daughter of Burgess Miller.

The MANER named was spelled many ways, i.e., Mainer, Maynard, Manner, Manar, etc.

After the birth of Alfred Perry, there were twins that did not survive their delivery.

Died Mar 3, 1905, Green Funeral Home, Box 116, Pryor, OK; bur.:Springton Graveyard, Yonkers, OK.
One of several Military #XC965025. Believed to have been in and around GA. His father is believed to have come from Ireland. His mother was Sally Lowery, from SC; he m:(1) Sarah Davis--conflicting info re marriages of Gilbert Jefferson Mainer.

2/29/94, Lubbock TX, children of James Allen Maner and Leta Belle Taylor found info indicating 1st m:Evaline McClery, with 2 children of this marriage. (no proof given to me) Their proof was found while clearing Leta Belle's things out of her home since she died and was burried just a few days ago.
