--Waldemar was a soldier in USArmy, from Decembar 19, 1917 to December 20, 1918, attached to the 3rd B, 1st Battalion, 164th Depot Brigade. He was a private and discharged from the service at Camp Funston, KS. This Private Waldemar Seedig missed going overseas when he was sent to the West Coast. He became sick and was in the Army hospital at time of end of WW1. He returned to his farm home and farming. He and his family moved to California about the time WW2 started and lived in Fillmore, then Santa Paula, CA. He died in the VA hospital. His death was listed as: CardioRespiratory arrest, due to Organic heart disease with arrhythmia, due to or as a consequence of Chronic obstructive lung disease. --after his death, Aunt Cora continued living in their mobilehome at 96 Floyd Dr., Santa Paula, CA 93060. Within a few years, Aunt Cora returned to Ardmore, OK, and lived in the duplex next to her brother, Jess Jennings.
When Uncle Waldar(mar) married Aunt Cora, he was a farmer with a big ranch and had lots of those big horses---(I was told they were Clydesdales.)---and used them for everything needed on the farm.
They always lived in the country in or near Ardmore, OK, mostly in Carter Co. Both of their children were born and raised on the farm. Troy was b:June 1922; and Waldemar Adolph was b: October 26, 1932, OK.
