1. SAMUEL¹ BEYER was born Bet. 1660 - 1680 in Palatinate, Germany, and died in Eppstein, Germany. He married MARIA KIRSCH 1696 in Pfaltz, Bayern, Germany.

Notes for SAMUEL BEYER:
Samuel Beyer (Bayer) was born most likely between 1660-1680 in the Palatinate area of Germany and lived there as late as 1732.He lived at Flomersheim between 1700 and 1710 and at Eppstein from 1711 to 1732. He was a customs official (1703) and community councillor. The source of this information is the Lutheran Baptism, Death and Marriage Book Frankenthal, 1686-1758, located in the City Archives of Frankenthal .This book was microfilmed by the Genealogical Society of Salt Lake City ,Utah, on Dec. 16,1959,Film No. HB 379. The village of Eppstein is now incorporated in the city of Frankenthal/Pfalz.A surveyors plan of the village of Eppstein in 1724 shows that Samuel Bayer had sizable holdings in the village.By the next time the village was surveyed in 1747 ,he no longer had any property nor any of his heirs, and the name Beyer/Bayer completely disappeared.
Samuel`s parents have not been ascertained but they may have been Johan Adam Beyer and wife Anna Maria.
The oldest Beyer/Bayer Record reported from the Palatinate area is "Bayer the Elder, and his wife and son" who paid the common pfennig" (a tax) in 1496 in Bobenheim (near Worms).

Notes for MARIA KIRSCH:
Maria`s maiden name is not known for sure, but it may have been Kirsch, as Andreas Kirsch of the court of Fussgoenheim and his wife were sponsors at the baptism of Samuel and Maria`s son Andreas in 1711. This information is taken from the "American Boyers" , 1984.
