Wow, that's a lot of information, I'm so excited to read it! As far as the above goes, I don't have anymore records as I had been a member of Ancestry.com at one point, and was not able to print grandpa's Draft record. It was very small writing printed from microfiche. It did say his point of induction was in Virginia. Since I could not figure out why he would be in VA, I may have assumed he was related to the John Rodgers Navy family - which are from the VA area. Maybe some of the relatives of the Rodgers' Navy family were also related to "our" Rodgers. I wish I could remember!
You're right as far as Minerva's place of birth, I remember now that it was Iowa.
I'm sorry but my memory escapes me. Grandpa, (Raymond Earl Rodgers) told me he was born July 18, 1892.
I fit into the Rodgers family because my father, Ronald Gene Rodgers, is your dad's half brother. Raymond Earl married Nellie Mae Foulkes somewhere along the line. Again, the records I have/had were lost when my ancestry.com subscription expired. I found lengthy records on the Foulkes family though, going back several generations.
I just spoke with my mother on the phone. She said my grandparents, Earl and Nellie, moved from Oklahoma City to Chicago for a short time, then to Needles, CA. From there they moved to San Bernardino. She also said she had met Minerva after she and my dad were married (1947), and she had come to CA for a visit after my brother was born in 1949.
Earl and Nellie had 3 sons. My dad was the eldest, being born 4/15/1928 in Oklahoma City I'm pretty sure. I did find census records on them living there, including your father as living with them at the time. Their second son (3 years younger I think) was Dale Edwin Rodgers, also born in Oklahoma City. Robert (Bobby) Keith Rodgers was the youngest son. I think your dad can find out from Bobby, the birth dates on Dale and obviously, him. Bobby is quite a bit younger than my dad and Dale, and the only living sibling, other than your father.
I know your dad lived with them off and on as I remember my dad telling me they had been pretty close as kids. I'm assuming your dad's mother may have been ill. My dad was "thrilled" when yours contacted him after they had lost touch for so many years.
My father (Ronald Gene Rodgers) married Anna Marie Ferrell on 1/26/1947 in San Bernardino. My brother, Ronald Charles Rodgers, was born in Loma Linda, CA on January 9, 1949. I was born in San Bernardino on July 16, 1951.
My brother never had any children and passed away on 12/02/01. I have 3 sons. Two by my first marriage, and one from my second marriage.

My mom said grandpa Rodgers sister, Maude, had a son who committed suicide. She didn't know what his name was.
My dad, Ronald Gene Rodgers, passed away on 6/07/04. He and your dad looked an awful lot alike and, their voices are nearly identical.
