Notes for Margret Lorena Carroll: Found dead in her car with garden hose attached to tail pipe. Cigarrets in ash tray, not hers, knife slashes in upholstry, and lipstick not hers. UNSOLVED.
My Uncle Eugene was instrumental in getting my cousins, Susan and Eric Lockwood/McCready away from their stepfather who was abusing Susan and spending all of their ingeritance from their mother who died under mysterious circumstances. Susan and Eric were from the marriage of Margaret and Johnny Lockwood who was a detective. Mac McCready was a foul abusive drinker and was suspect in the death of Margaret in the eyes of the family. Though her death appeared to be suicide there were things that just didn't add up, like cigarette butts in th e;ashtray of her car and the seats were slashed with a knife and there was lipstick that wasn't hers too. It was made to look like she put a hose in the exhaust pipe and ran the pipe to the car and ran the engine with the windows rolled up. The case was never solved and was left open. I met Johnny Lockwood, and his partner, some years later. He seemed like a nice man as he told us children about his weapon because we were asking him questions about guns. He filled our heads with images of just how deadly guns are and how phony TV portrays their affects.
