Notes for Lewis Truscott: His Will mentions his beloved wife Ann who is to get 8 pounds a year allowance during her life, "plus the feather bed furnished which we now lyeth on during her life." Ann also gets three Pewter platters, six pewter plates, one iron pot and a Tea Kettle. After her decease they become the property of his executor. He gives unto his sons "William 17 pounds, John, the tenement Dwelling house in Downderry with the garden lying at the South East of the said house and half there to be enclosed out of Downfield in paying 6/- a year towards the rates of the whole tenement. To son Lewis, 5 pounds per year and the new built house at Hay so long as my right therein continues. To my daughter Ann I give 7 pounds and the feather bed namely she is now in possession of. I give to my daughter Elizabeth 20 pounds one year after my decease. I give unto my son Alexander all my wearing apparel. I give the rest of my children 1/-. All the rest of my Goods Chattels personal effects whatsoever I give to my son George whom I make my executor. Witnessed by John Hoar and Thomas Nickels.
