Christopher Avery was a Weaver by trade in England, perhaps in Devonshire where he was married (?)
and came to America with son James and established a fishing (?) trade at Cape Ann Colony of Massachusetts Bay. Mentioned in 1642 - publication not known to me. I do not know if Christopher Avery's wife came to America with him.
