The Ball/Holte & McBride/Wells of Montana Family Tree

I have just begun this family tree. Much of the family came from England to Virginia, Maryland and moved west through Ohio, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, South Dakota and then Montana. Some came from Norway to Wisconsin, still others came from Germany to New York state and then Canada. The Wells' take the prize as wanderers they went from West Virginia through Missouri, Kansas, California and Washington state before arriving in Montana.

Many thanks to Ronald Ball of Oregon for having so much data on-line that I got hooked! Also thanks to both of my grandmothers, Luella (Holte) Ball, and Melva (Wells) McBride who kept the letters and memories that have provided detail and interesting side notes. Sadly Luella, my grandma Ball, passed away in October 2001. She is greatly missed by all of us who loved her.

Other family names I have encountered along my journey include Prickett, Springer, Kendall, Kensmoe, Cook, Teeter, Nesby, Toulouse, Stewart, and Ankrom.
