On another note:
By 1930, There was a "roomer" according to the 1930 Census by the name of Norma Nippert aka "Nip". She was despised by the children living at home. There was a feeling that Nip "controlled" Sarah and kept her incapacitated (via alcohol) so that she in turn could "control" the house as well. There were letters about rescuing Sarah and moving her to California which was done by at least 1937. According to the 1920 Census, Nip was a nurse. In 1930, she was a nurse AND worked for General Electric.
