This is an obituary for my grandfather, Robert Barnes BROWN, who died July 30, 1946. He was born March 20, 1894 in New England Hollow and was buried in Lebanon Cemetery on August 3, 1946. I am Elizabeth (Betsy) Ann NORRIS Banzen and my email address is JRBEAB@aol.com.

Robert B. BROWN, 52, assistant superintendent of the Coal and Coke Handling Department at Clairton Works of Carnegie-Illinois Steel Corp., died suddenly while at work yesterday.

Mr. BROWN lived at 623 Delaware Ave., Wilson District, Clairton. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He also was affiliated with Granddview Lodge 303. Knights of Pythias, and Coal Valley Lodge, Junior Order of United American Mechanics.

His survivors include his wife, Evalyn MCPHERSON Brown; three children, Mrs. Kenneth Norris, Robert B., Jr. and Mrs. William Brown, all of Wilson; seven sisters, Mrs. Isabel Sneed of Ellwood City, Mrs. Agnes Voekel of Wilson, Mrs. Ella Kemerer of Jeanette, Mrs. Alice Ellenwood in Vermont, Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons in Utah, Mrs. Ruth Rothey of Elizabeth, and Mrs. Venus Hare of Wilson.

Friends are being received at the family residence on Delaware Ave., Wilson. Arrangements for the services will be announced tomorrow from the J. Sam Whetsel Funeral Home.
