The Banes Family Home Page

Updated February 10, 2006

I am currently researching the Smith, Banes, and Pierce families.
Looking for information on the ancestors of John Smith, born abt. 1870 and married to Margaret Sanders, born abt. 1868 in the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory (now known as Oklahoma). Both are listed on the Dawes and/or Miller Rolls.

I am also looking for information on:
Allen Sanders b. 1842, d. 1874 Indian Territory
Diana (Day-ya-ne) Chucalate d. bef 1874 Indian Territory
Polly Dougherty or Smith b. 1846, d. 1890 Indian Territory
Jack Smith b. ? , d.? Indian Territory

Also looking for information on the line of Adrian D. Banes and Hannah Schooler, both born abt. 1832-1833 in Ohio, married in the 1850's and ending up in Iowa in the late 1800's.

And finally I have a lot of information on the Pierce, Whitaker, and Ormsbee (Ormsby) families that I am currently compiling. My line comes down from Richard Pierce and Susannah Wright who came from England to Rhode Island in the mid 1600's.

If you have additional information or would like information from my, please feel free to contact me.
