| I am just beginning at researching the Ball and Barnett family ancestry.I have added many names into my Family Tree Maker program, currently more than 2000 entries.I have obtained the information from a book by an Aunt called "Ball Ancestrial Life Line" and information obtained by my father.I understand that she is in work on a new BALL book.I have not had a lot of luck locating information pertaining to my particular branch of the Barnett or Ball family lines aside from what I have already obtained.With all historical information, aside from what was obtained from official documents are disputable and even some of those legal documents may be disputable.I began my family tree, on the Ball side with, James Ball who was born in 1749 or 1751, there seems to be some confusion of his actual birthdate based on pension records and other documents.He was believed to have come to America from Ireland around 1771 and was born in Dublin.James Ball married Margret Bray.
