I am searching for the ancestors of James Baker, born 6.May.1781 in Virginia and died 11.Sep.1870 in Union County, Mississippi. He married JANE LAWSON JAMESON 26.Aug.1818 in Kentucky, daughter of JOHN JAMESON and MATHA LAWSON. She was born 26.Jun.1792 in Tennessee, and died 29.Dec.1874 in Mississippi. James may be the son of Samuel Baker, and I have no other information on him.
I am also searching for ancestors and descendants of John BARBER who was born Abt. 1800 in North Carolina, and died 22.Aug.1840 in probably Tennessee. He married Mary "Pollie" Price. She was born Abt. 1805 in North Carolina. They migrated from North Carolina to Tennessee. After John's death, Mary and children migrated to Mississippi.
