SEBEWAING MAN KILLED IN CAR CRASH

One person was killed, two seriously injured, and six others recieved minor injuries requiring medical attention as a result of auto accidents in this area during the past week.

Charles E. Ball, 82, of Sebewaing, was instantly killed when the car driven by Clyde Ball, 57, of 1554 Liberty Street, Lincoln Park, collided with a car driven by Seymour Van Gilder, 50, of 348 Pasedena Ave., Highland Park.

The accident occurred about 11:00 Sunday morning at Lemen's Corners, junction of M-59 and US-23. It was reported that Van Gilder, driving a Ford coach, failed to heed the stop sign. He was released after making a statement to state police officers.

Four other passengers in the Ball car were taken to Mellus hospital, Brighton, suffering from injuries, none serious. They were: Iva Perry, 62, Flossie Ball, 53, Dan Ball, 53, and Bertie Ball, 48. A family reunion in Flint was the destination of the unfortunate Ball family.
