Notes for Thomas Irwin Barstow: According to the 1871 census Thomas Irwin was living with his wife at Astley Hall, Chorley, Lancs The head of the household was Thomas Part, described as his uncle but he may have been the uncle of his wife, Mary Leader. Thomas Part 's wife was called Frances. The house is now a museum.

Of The Manor House, Elstree, Herts. Lord of Ryton Manor, Yorks.; bequeathed the manor for life to his widow, Elizabeth Barstow (dau. of Henry Leader). Died s.p. July 21, 1889, at Elstree.
