She married THEOPHILUS HEAD August 24, 1853 in Knox County, Kentucky, son of IRA HEAD and MARY CAMPBELL. He was born September 07, 1831 in Robinett Valley, Scott County, Virginia, and died February 03, 1920 in Crawford, Delta County, Colorado.

Notes for THEOPHILUS HEAD:
Theophilus Head, son of Ira Head and Mary Campbell, was born Sept. 7, 1831 in Robbinett Valley, Scott County, Virginia. He moved to Clear Creek, Knox County, Kentucky, between 1842 and 1846 with his parents. He married Sarah Ann Gibson on August 24, 1853, and left Kentucky for Missouri the next day along with his parents and others. Theophilus and his family lived in Saline County, Missouri through 1870. Before December 1876, he was in Cooke County, Texas, as his daughter, Catherine Barbara was married there on that date, at the age of 14. The family must have traveled a good deal, because another daughter, Ada, was born in August 1876 in Indian Territory at Elm Springs.

Theophilus' Civil War records show that he served as a corporal in the Missouri Calvary for about two years. He took land in Saline County, Missouri and Delta County, Colorado. This land is still owned by the Head family. Theophilus was known as a big game hunter, and was very adept at making the things necessary for pioneer survival. A saddle that he made is said to still be in existence.

Theophilus died on Feb 3, 1920 at Crawford, Delta County, Colorado and is buried alongside Sarah Ann, who had preceded him in death, at Delta City Cemetery.
