Hellen Teresa Cooke (daughter of James Cooke and Ellen Flynn) was born 26 Oct 1873 in Ipswich, England., and died 05 Jun 1905. She married John Arthur Menzies, son of William Menzies and Helen Holmes Munro.

Ellen was admitted into Nazareth house in Cape Town, SA in November 1880 some time after her father James died (1871) and was discharged on 18 August 1884.

Ellen passed away quite young leaving her husband to take care of the children. From what I can deduce and from what family members recount, "old Menzies" was unable to take care of the children, sending them to them Nazareth house in Cape Town - Hector in 1905 and Nelly in 1908. There is more to tell about Nelly but I have yet to get that info.
