Jane ADAMS
was born on
30 Apr 1867 in Barbour County, West Virginia. She died on 22 May 1922 in Belpre,
Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio. She was educated. She taught school
and was a constant supporter of education. She was married to Reverend Abraham
Clinton "Clint" MAYLE (son of Adam MALE and
Mary Ann HILL) on 5 May 1888 in Jackson County, West Virginia.
Reverend Abraham Clinton "Clint" MAYLE
was born in
1866 in Bartlett, Washington County, Ohio. He died on 16 Feb 1938 in Parkersburg,
Wood County, West Virginia. He was educated. As a young man he showed a great
interest for formal education. After completing his educational training, which
included "normal school," he accepted a teaching position at a small
place called Cuba, which was in Jackson County, West Virginia. At about the time
of his marrage he was call to the ministry, and he still continued to teach.
His position as a teacher was terminated when the school was closed because of
declinied enrollment. So the enterprising Clinton moved with his family to Washington
County, Ohio to find employment and to provide his children an education. He
brought with him his mother and father Mary Ann and Adam. Aerie "Airy"
Jane ADAMS and Reverend Abraham Clinton "Clint" MAYLE had the following
