7. EDWARD FRANCIS⁴ BARRY (ARTHUR "ATTIE" J.³, CATHERINE "KATY"² NAGLE, ARTHUR N.¹) was born April 27, 1908 in Westfield, Massachusetts, and died March 24, 1974 in Westfield, Massachusetts. He married GIOVANNA "JEAN" CATHERINE BARUFFA February 18, 1933 in Lebanon Springs, New York, daughter of ERNESTO BARUFA and ELIZABETTA GROFFANI.

Notes for EDWARD FRANCIS BARRY:
-Served 46 years with the Westfield Department of Public Works, starting as a laborer and working up to Superintendent.
-Began in 1928
-Served under at least 10 different Westfield mayors
-Member of the Holy Name Society of St. MAry's Church
-First job after graduation from high school was in the office of the H.B. Smith company.
-In 1939 he donated blood in an attempt to save the life of an injured co-worker. The man, Evangelo J. Katsuranis, was also a Public Works Department employee. He was crushed by a half-frozen ple of gravel and died about 24 hours after being freed. Ed donated blood for a transfusion in an attempt to save the critically injured man.

Marriage Notes for EDWARD BARRY and GIOVANNA BARUFFA:
It is rumored that Eddie and Jean actually have two dates of mariage. It is said that they eloped to New York to get married, then returned and had a church service at a later date. The New York marriage is a fact as a marriage certificate was discoverd stating that they were married on the 18th of February, 1933, they were married in Lebanon Springs, New York. A Baptist minister, Howard J. Kingdon married them. Jean's sister Mary and her boyfriend, Kenneth Pollard, were the two witnesses.
Whether they had a nother ceremony when they returned to Westfield is unknown at this time.

8. WILLIAM M.⁴ BARRY (ARTHUR "ATTIE" J.³, CATHERINE "KATY"² NAGLE, ARTHUR N.¹) was born September 09, 1895 in Westfield, Massachusetts, and died December 01, 1967 in Westfield, Massachusetts. He married CHRISTINA J. MILLER.

Notes for WILLIAM M. BARRY:
--At age 19 ws working as a clerk at 266 Elm Street in Westfield and lving at the family home on Atwater Street.
- Living at 47 Prospect Street with family until 1943 when he was living on Montgomery Street, Living at 29 Murphy Circle in the early 1960's until his death.
-Worked at Planet Manufactering (1918-1922), as a pressman (1930's), and a watchman at SPH Inc.. (1952)
-Married Christina J. Miller about 1941
-Was a veteran of World War I, serving in the U.S.Army.

9. HELEN C.⁴ BARRY (ARTHUR "ATTIE" J.³, CATHERINE "KATY"² NAGLE, ARTHUR N.¹) was born October 1891 in Westfield, Massachusetts, and died April 07, 1928 in Westfield, Massachusetts. She married JAMES A. CONDRON.

Notes for HELEN C. BARRY:
-Funeral services were held at her house followed by a mass at St. Mary's Church in Westfield. Bearers were Timothy Sullivan of Holyoke, Richard O'Hara, Thomas Curran, Daniel Hiesler, Clarence Brown and William Barry, all of Westfield.
Burial was a St. Mary's cemetery in Westfield.
