Notes for Arthur Milton Barr: DEATH: Art died of a massive cereberal Hemmorage
BIOGRAPHY: Arther is remembered as a man with a gruff exterior and aheart of gold. He was a plumber by profession and even targht the trade when he was too old to practice it. His trade required him to travel away from home quite a bit. He was also an excellent baseball pitcher and played regularly on the local semi-pro teams untill his weight and age made him quit. He had a great sinse of humer and loved to play caards(Euchre) especialy against his wife who he called "Doll" even in public, which embarrassed her. He was proud of his first grandson whom he dubbed "Pistol Pete", perhaps because he taught him to fire a gun at age two. Art was a great outdoorsman and injoyed both fishing and hunting. He was also a home brewer of beer which he constantly compared with the product made by each of his two brothers. When on 23 Dec 1942 Art suffered a massive cereberal hemmorage and died the following day, the doctor said he lived another day because of a very strong heart and the desire not to die on his son's wedding Anniversary.
