Notes for Emory Joseph Barr: BIOGRAPHY: Emory Joseph Barr lived his juvenile years at 1192 Bruck St. in German Village, Columbus Ohio. He graduated from Aquinas Catholic High School around 1943. He had many memories of the nuns and thier rather harsh disipline. Emory Attended Ohio State University though he was unable to graduate due to his mothers affliction with arthritis. He stayed with and cared for his mother untill the time of her death. In1946 he took a job as a lab assistant at Battle Memorial Institute and in1947 was promoted to Lab Tech. In 1949 he went to work as a clerk for Southwest Moulding where he stayed as a Time studyman untill 1953. At that time he gained employment with the Columbus Production Manufacturing Company as a timekeeper where he stayed untill he got hired on withDennison Engineering a Division of The Abex Corporation. He started at Dennison in 1954 as a clerk and then in 1959 was promoted to Engineer.About this same time he met and married his wife Virginia.
