John Barger Son of Andrew and Phebe. Died about 1818 aged about 88 years. He married Martha, Daughter of Cornelius Tompkins. He leased a tract of land on Philips Patent in Putnam County adjoining the Barger Pond. He was a brave soldier of the Revolution 1777 & 1778. This stone erected in 1905.
