    Husband of Josephina Wesker. Father of Herman, Anna, Bernard, Clem, Nora, Joseph and baby Frank Barrenbruegge. This family is traced to the Barrenbruegge's of Holtwick, Germany in the 1700's. Frank and his brother, Clemens, emigrated to the USA from Ahaus, (Registered in Bezirk) Muenster-Preussen, Germany in 1882. Lived in Dunkirk, Indiana.

    Their column was halted by small arms fire on the lead vehicles, April 25, 1945, Germany. Bernie (nickname "Boogie") was the Communications Sergeant for the 20th Armored Infantry, "B" Co. "Tigers." Bernie is the husband of Luenette Ruth (Turner) Barenbrugge. Father of Gregory A. Barenbrugge and Susan K. (Barenbrugge) Crabtree. (See the link at the bottom of this page.)

    Born in 1808, Sumner Co., KY. Died 1881, Hickory Hill Twp., Wayne County, IL. Nickname: "Captain Keene" He was blind in one eye. William Keen and his two wives are buried in Ten Oak Cemetery, Wayne County, Illinois.
