He was a member of the Minneapolis Police Force. He is the son of Selma O. Barr who lives at 810 S. Broad St. in Mankato. He was a Veteran of WWII. Survivors include his wife, Verna of Prior Lake, four children Bolivar in CA, Benalle, Glenda and James of Prior Lake. One brother, Irwin of Cambridge, five sisters, Evelyn Ploetz, Ms. Helen Wendlant of Minneapolis, Ms. Clayton Roberts of Kasota, Ms. Hilding Nelson of St. Peter and Ms. Norman Hanel of N. Mankato. Funeral services were held in Edina and burial was at Ft. Snelling National cemetery.
