James Mullikin, immigrant to Colonial Maryland, was apprenticed to James Ramsey - skinner- in Edinburgh 09 February 1631.Our immigrant is listed in this apprentice record as "Son of James Mullikin, Elder of Blackmyre. James, immigrant to Maryland, is also listed in the regiment of Sir James Montgomery in County Down, Ulster Ireland and was mustered 04 August 1642.He was a soldier in the company of Richard Bingley.James, his uncles, and cousins were closely involved in the trade between Scotland/Ireland/Barbados/ and Colonial America.
