AROLD LEWIS BATZLOFF:
Harold Lewis Batzloff died of cancer on February 3, 1984 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Flint. Harold worked for Fisher Body until his retirement in 1974. Harold was in the U.S. Army Air Corps but was medically discharged before any action overseas. (source: 17) On his tombstone he was a sergeant in the US Army and a veteran of WWII. Eugene (Jean/Gene) was born in Maryland on September 13, 1919 and died on May 6, 1993. Resided in Columbiaville, Michigan. Both are buried the Oregon Township Cemetery that was established in 1858.

Clifford "Tip" Julius Batzloff died of cancer on September 21, 1981 at his home in Mayfield Township, 118 Daley Road. Ruth was born on December 9, 1923 in Columbiaville, Michigan. Tip was a production worker at Chevrolet Truck. Clifford was buried in Meadowland Cemetery, Columbiaville, Michigan. After Clifford's death Ruth remarried to Harold William Stone on February 28, 1989. Harold was born on February 4, 1916 in Lapeer and died of terminal cancer on January 25, 1998. Ruth died thereafter (terminal cancer) on March 31, 1998. Both Harold and Ruth Stone are buried in the Columbiaville Cemetery. (source: 20,85)

He married IRIS MADONNA LILLYGREN November 9, 1936 in St. Vincent de Paul, Pontiac, Michigan, daughter of EMIL LILLYGREN and ISABELLA MANLEY. She was born November 9, 1917 in Moose Jaw, Canada (Saskatchewan).

WEN KYES BATZLOFF:
Owen Kyes Batzloff was born on July 15, 1913 on Paul Street, (Oakland County), Pontiac, MI. Owen was the son of Franklin J. Batzloff and Hazel I. Kyes. Owen (Grandpa) took Iris (Grandma) to her senior prom. Iris M. Lillygren was born in Moosejaw, (Saskatchewan), Canada on November 9, 1917. When Owen was a boy, he trapped muskrats for their pelts. Owen was in the National Guards during the 19xx. Owen worked for the Baldwin Rubber Company for 37 years, then in 1963 he started working for McCord Corporation as Vice-President - Mfg. for the Gasket Division in Wyandotte, Michigan in which he retired from in 19xx. Owen was a member of the Pontiac Elks Lodge #810. Owen and Iris Batzloff built a cabin in 1950. Located outside the Grayling city limits off M-72 in which the cabin overlooks Cub Lake. Owen did the initial drawing of the cabin and they pretty much built the cabin themselves (electrical and plumbing hook-up, too) with the help of family and friends. Their sons, John and Tom helped bringing down the cement from the top of the hill (to lay the cinder block) for the foundation. They hired someone to put in the huge wood beam and build the roof. Iris remembers that her friend Ruby Nelson pitched in and helped paint around the windows. This is the family vacation getaway that provides a day of fishing, swimming, or kicking back and relaxing in the Michigan sunshine. Owen died of a heart attack while on vacation in Ormond Beach, Florida on March 27, 1983 and buried in White Chapel Memorial Cemetery. He had a good full life and he knew how to have fun. Iris M. Batzloff still resides in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan in their home of forty-three (43) years at 2426 Sanders Place, Bloomfield Hills before moving into a condo (in October 1996) on Woodward.

Iris M. Lillygren graduated from Pontiac High School in 1935 (June class) and married a year later to Owen Kyes Batzloff. Iris' birthplace (Moosejaw, Canada) was on a farm with nothing but fields all around them. Iris never had to work a day in her life after marring Owen. She is such a good-natured person, never spoke ill of anyone, has a great attitude towards life that she is such a joy to be around. She lives life to its fullest and nothing evers slows her down. Her favorite saying "The more the merrier" when she has family gathering or company popin' in to visit.

AYMOND FRANCIS BATZLOFF:
Viola M. Lillygren was born on January 5, 1914 and her parents were Emil John Lillygren and Isabella Francis Manley. [Two Batzloff brother's married two Lillygren sister's.] (Owen and Iris) (Raymond and Viola). Bud and Marie bought a cabin in the 1930s next to Owen and Iris' property that was built years later on Cub Lake in Grayling, Michigan. Raymond was in the 1st Calvary Battalion at Iwo Jima and was one of the "8" of 18 survivors of the bombing. They were divorced in 19xx.

"Battle of Iwo Jima (February-March 1945), US assault during World War II on a Japanese-held island. US Marines suffered 20,000 casualties in this desperate battle. The flag-raising on Mt. Suribachi at the end of the battle is remembered as a symbol of courage". "Iwo Jima, formerly Sulphur Island; largest of the Japanese Volcano Islands in W Pacific Ocean; scene of successful US Campaign to take island from Japanese 1945, it was returned to Japan in 1968".

Raymond "Bud" Francis Batzloff remarried to a Mary "Marie" Rita Rochnowski on March 29, 1946. According to the record in Oakland County. They resided in Kentucky and both are deceased.
