ELSON W. BECKETT:
Nelson W. Beckett and Susanna Conway had fourteen children, most of whom remained in Kentucky. Some of the family, however, followed the Conways to Missouri.

Alfred Beckett lived in Marion County, Missouri, for a while, but later returned to Kentucky. Another son, Woodford Beckett, followed his uncle, Simeon Conway, into Clark County and lived at Chambersburg, Missouri. Humphery Beckett also came to Missouri, but moved a little farther west. He lived in Caldwell County, Missouri, and was one of the early Justices of Peace at Kingston, Missouri. His son, William Beckett, lived at Polo, Missouri.

AMUEL CONWAY, JR.:
Samuel Conway, Jr. came to Marion County, Missouri prior to 1820, perhaps 1818 or 1819. One of the very early marriages in the county occurred at his home when his wife's sister, Margaret Gardner, became the wife of John Bush, who had also arrived from Kentucky.

Information on his family comes from the Samuel Conway family Bible, records of Mia K. Fleegel, M. J. Hunt, and Evelyn Barclay. Further information is obtained from Marion County, Missouri, marriage records.

IDEON MILLER:
Gideon Miller and Anna Conway were married in Pendleton County, Kentucky in 1818, and are presumed to have moved shortly thereafter to Missouri. Their third child, Abdel, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, some distance north of Marion County. While their first two children may have been born in Kentucky, the others were almost certainly born in Missouri.

Gideon Miller lived in Section 3 of Marion County, Missouri in 1828. In 1848, he built a brick house "where Nichols brothers live." Gideon, in addition to farming, was a wheelright.
