IMEON CONWAY:
Simeon Conway came to Marion County, Missouri, with his father and family. They settled on the southwest quarter of Section 10, Range 5, Township 57, the eastern part taken by Samuel and the western half by Simeon. Each with 80 acres. The land was held by patent certificate issued with the U.S. Land Office was located in St. Louis.

In 1823, Simeon married Mary McRae. She lived only a short time, and he second married Harriet A. Worthington of Marion County, MO.

Simeon's son, Simeon C. Conway is found in the same location on page 253:

Simeon Conway went to Clark County, Missouri in 1836 and settled at Chambersburg. He helped organize the county and was the first Justice of Peace at Jefferson Township. When the seat of Justice was moved from Waterloo to Alexandria, he built the brick courthouse for which he received the sum of $1800. He was elected county surveyor and served until a year before his death. He conducted a drug store in Alexandria for some years. Simeon Conway and his wife were the parents of twelve children. Some of their descendants still live in Clark County.

An unsigned family group sheet, which is probably from Karen M. Greene, gives additional children for Simeon and Harriet Worthington Conway. The author states that the information came from Bob Samuelson, George Pohlman papers, Dr. J. W. Bush, Henry Ogle, but that much of the sheet is family knowledge and is not proven.
